The Problem
A traditional trade business needs more than just a website — inquiries need to be captured fast, quotes need to go out clean, appointments must be coordinated, and invoicing has to be audit-proof. The tools exist, but assembling, branding, and operationalising them is rarely a master electrician’s focus.
The Solution
An end-to-end solution: a fast, clean Astro website with local-SEO focus, a contact form that writes directly into a fully configured Odoo CRM — including mail templates, DIN-5008-compliant quotes/invoices, dunning workflows, and properly authenticated email delivery (SPF + DKIM).
What Shipped
- Astro website: Lighthouse-grade, local-SEO schema, own domain, IONOS hosting
- Odoo setup: CRM pipeline, sales templates, automated mails, lead → quote → order → invoice end-to-end
- DNS & mail: SPF + DKIM on the company domain, rewrite filters so customer mails arrive from the branded sender
- Form → CRM: Web form with API-key rotation in a PHP adapter, automatic lead creation with source tagging
- Google Search Console + sitemap: SEO launch with verified, indexed sitemap
Technical Highlights
- Astro + Tailwind: Static site with custom branding (olive/gold, Unbounded/Space Grotesk)
- Odoo Online: 14 catalogued products, individualised footer, German mail templates instead of demo strings
- Mail-domain hardening:
mail.default.from_filterextended so Odoo no longer rewrites theFrom:header of the company domain - Operational hygiene: Setup demo account disabled, audit trail preserved, test data documented
Outcome
Real leads now flow through the web form into the CRM. First real orders have run through the entire pipeline — from web-form lead to signed invoice with branded PDF.
